What do participants think about the Disease Prevention Coaching?
Working with Sandi has been extremely beneficial for my health. My doctor was very concerned about my blood pressure and diabetes and strongly urged that I lose weight. Initially, I was a little apprehensive about disclosing my weight, poor eating habits, and lack of physical fitness with anyone other than my doctor. Sandi’s approach to coaching allowed me to let down my guard and reap the benefits of her knowledge and expertise.
Sandi would check in with me and therefore, I had a sense of accountability and I am the type of person that doesn’t like to let people down. To this day, I hear Sandi’s voice in my head encouraging me to give 150% on days I don’t feel like exercising.
Sandi also broke down the various diets out there and explained macro-nutrients. She has provided recipes, which are tasty, heart healthy, and overall good for me. She is very resourceful and if she doesn’t know something, she conducts research to find the answer. She encouraged me on bad days and applauded me on good days.
Long story short…I know too late…LOL! My last physical was in March 2021 and my doctor was ecstatic about my results. My blood pressure was excellent. I moved from diabetic to pre-diabetic, and I’ve lost 15lbs.
